So I had worn out my CR500s and had some ZZRs put on my R400D by the factory. They also reset the cars geometry to settings which were designed to help the car get the most out of the ZZR tyres. Unfortunately, the settings weren't very effective and I had a very difficult time with the car at Oulton. The car over steered all over the place, was very unstable around the straight ahead, and very unstable under brakes. Having read various posts about who to trust for car set up, I set up an appointment at Fauldsport.

When I arrived, they listened carefully to my description of how the car handled, measured up the current geo settings, and set to work on changing pretty much everything. Camber, toe, ride height, rake - the lot. The car was properly corner weighted (with me sat inside it), and a couple of other annoying niggles sorted out as well (e.g. pedals adjusted for much easier heel/toe). Overall, it took 3 hours to do all the work. The net result was a complete and utter transformation. At Spa and the Nurburgring, the car handled maginificently. Very stable at all speeds, great turn in, massive grip, just a touch of understeer on the really fast stuff, great under braking. So a big thank you to Fauldsport for setting up my car. If anyone needs set up work done - these folk know their onions!
