installing the stanchion quick mount guide?

I'm thinking of getting the Caterham part that has the fixed stanchion holding nuts and is installed in the scuttle channel to stiffen up the windshield mounting.


Quick question....The bolts that come up from the body to mount the scuttle and hold this new part...will those nuts fall out in behind my interior panel if I remove the existing body to scuttle nuts?

My interior panel is covered and I'd rather not drill out the rivets if I don't have to.

I can't see how you could do this without removing the knee panels (which on my car were retained by small self-tappers which looked like rivets in the dark depths of the cockpit).
You need to access the nuts holding the existing channel behind the knee panels to swap this for the new part, and then there are the bolts and washers holding the existing w/screen stanchions on the inside of the scuttle panels.

My car already has the knee panels removed (if that is what the panels that cover the stanchion bolts are called. I was worried about the lower panels that cover the interior of the body.
