I bought a set of engine mounts as my carb side set are broken.

My ability to access the bolts is made quite complicated by the dry sump plumbing.

Am I correct though, that all I need to do is put a jack under the engine to take the weight off and then unbolt the engine mount and just swap over the new one, then switch and do the other side.

Any advice?

That's the trick for the K Series, so I'm assuming you're bang on.

Not a Caterham, but I changed the engine mounts on an old Fiesta using exactly the method you describe.

Gets my vote.

You - that's exactly it. I recommend some wood or equivalent to spread the weight across the sump as they are easy to damage. Oh, and when you put the new mount on, leave the bolts into the block fairly loose to start with as you'll need some wiggle-room to get the big bolt lined up into the chassis.

All the best - Michael.
