Thinking of a change - 1995 HPC 7 (carbs), done all of 7,600 miles, owned from new by myself - usual LSD, big brakes on the front from new. Got QED cams in and distributor less ignition - they are the only mods. Excellent condition.

How much should I ask for it - seems a bit of variation in HPC prices. Any thoughts?

if the condition matches what is indicated by the milage, and no corrosion, £15000. clams or cycles ?, sorry to offend anyone but clams may detract price. has it the big 16" wheels ? these also seem to be less desirable these days. but £15000 would always be a starter.

I think that's probably not going to get many takers at 15k, but I could be wrong.

Condition is very good - always under a cover when not used, so all paint is excellent. It is a clammy creature as was the fashion when I ordered it. It sits on 15s currently (with 500s, wheels and tyres have done about 1,000 miles) Set of 16s would go with it (with perfect but ancient and indestructible Mich Pileups). Comp exhaust and leather seats (not the big headrest variety). Heater cos I am a wimp about getting cold. FIA bar and the petty strut - not that it has ever been on a track. Filter King think on the fuel is the only other addition.

If you have a 235 Evo with dull S Type (theb early style) trim, you'll get £15k. A standard HPC is more in the £9k-£12k ballpark depending upon condition. Having said that, the mileage is very low on the car in question.

Other factors which affect value are if it has the straight cut gearbox (needle roller type) or not, does it have the original MBE ignition (expensive to fix if the ECU triacs blow - a common issue), FIA bar? Type of exhaust (std or race) etc..
