Wing mirror on door flap
Discussion
Hi all,
My wing mirror is a bit loose, so that when on the move and going above say 50mph, the wind causes it to droop a little giving me a perfect view of the rear wing and not much else. It's not obvious to see how the ball and socket could be adjusted - anyone got any tips?
Thanks
Joel

Hiya
From the pic you posted, your mirrors are SPA Designs (probably the GT size), just like ours. These should be mounted with access to the locking screw. This means two holes for the mounting screws and an additional hole directly between them so you can feed an allen key in to drive the locking screw.
If that hole isn't there, I'd recommend you drill one. Best to take the mirrors off first so you don't drill through and into the locking screw. It also means you can find what size allen key's required as well.
It's a bit tricky to drill the door, it seems to take ages for the drill to go through the steel sheet inside the vinyl. Best to use a very sharp drill bit or you'll be there all day. Also, make sure you get most of the swarf back out of the hole once you're done. It likes to worm its way under the vinyl so that it can fall out later and cut your fingers or get into the locking screw.
Hope that helps
