Which of the following....

Magnaflow
Borla
Corsa
Billy Boat

My choice would have been Magnaflow. Readily available in the UK and no hit on import duty. Or are some of the others available here. Had a Magnaflow fitted to my Ram. And it sounds really nice.

I had a borla on a C5 Vert, not too loud until you floored it, lovely burble on the overrun.
I had a corsa on a Z06, again fairly quiet on steady throttle, but mental under power and the overrun was spectacular, flames, huge bangs almost as much noise as WOT.
Resonance system, does'nt work backwards !

I went for the Genuine Corvette Accessories Exhaust I think it's made by Borla the Touring system. You get four nice tips with the C6 logo on them, And you can alos use it on the 6.0 and 6.2 Manual or Auto as some others can only work on certain cars!

The Corsa on my C5 ZO6 sounds great, real crisp, yeah mental on cold start up.
Crackle pop bang on decel. No drone m/way speeds.
Not sure but engine size ,bore/stroke,etc may give a diff sound.
ref c5/c6

If you are still looking for a car you may be lucky and get one with an aftermarket exhaust
already fitted, kind of the 1st mod people do.biggrin
cheers

Borla Stinger 11's - plus the X-pipe. Fantastic noise. Which of course can be heard fitted to mine here:

Why not a full exhaust? Or is this for noise only?

If full exhaust then Kooks, ARH or LGM
1.7/8 full length headers into dual 3" to the back.

Hi Mark

I bought bullets and used usps for shipping - more or less 400GBP with the vat, duty and 30GBP handling.

The ARH`s needed to be shipped via container company - You pay per cubic meter. Shipping was 190GBP to poland and then 130GBP to UK.

Polamer did US-PL and FEDEX -PL-UK

Stingers for me too - loud and low, bit of boom around 1500rpm.

I had Stingers on both my C5 and my C6 and was very pleased. Literally can't hear the exhaust from the cabin when cruising, but sounded epic at WOT and on the overrun. Stingers are generally considered the best aftermarket system for the C5 and C6.

Well having had the car for a few weeks now i have decided to keep keep the stock system and go for electronic cut-outs.That way i can cruise at speed with no intrusive noise. And then at the touch of a button have the noise i want on demand.I have heard a couple now and been impressed.
