Don't Respray.... Just Wrap it ... Amazing !
Discussion
So, ..how durable are wraps? What they like against stone chips? Any special cleaning process needed? Will a jet wash lift the edges? I had a long look over a Sky TV van recently and it looks amazing with no discernable seams or edges.
My '87's red bodywork is chipped to death at the front, behind the wheels and around the mirrors. I need to do something and soon I reckon, but as I live in the sticks and race along empty backroads a lot, I don't want to paint it and have it chip again. I need a foam pan scourer and carb cleaner to remove thick tar off the sills once a year and I'm currently claying the rest of the body three times a year to keep it fresh. If you look at my pic, it does scrub up well, but don't look too close!
Maybe a wrap is the way to go..

The matt black one lives in the sticks aka darkest Gloucestershire / Worecestershire borders! Washing a wrapped car is simple and requires no more polishing and obviously the vinyl acts as great stone chip protection like the clear protection you can buy for the front of cars.
On that subject Exitwound, you could get your paint redone then put some cleartastic vinyl on it to protect your lovely new paint
