Its not overly cheap. Its also a 98 so has a crap ECU.
There have been 97/98 models just over the £10k mark quite often. I think you can get a 99+ Convertible with less miles at the same price.

Well it had a replacement ECU. But not due to 'crapness' All C5 and C6,s ECU,s can suffer water and acid(battery) ingress. Mine along with the connector blocks were replaced in June by Claremont Corvette. I didnt think the price was high. I have seen slightly later cars with less mileage. But condition has always reflected the price in the first place.

The ECU may be to do with tunability. I had a 1998 Z28 and the ECU is different on that from the 99-on so no chance of tuning it - but with a somwhat understated 305hp (on the Z28), it's possibly academic and the C5's 345hp may be all you want or need.

There were some steering lock issues on early cars though which can by by-passed.

There was an article in a car magazine a few wks back on the C5. What to look for and the cars in general. It gave it a very good write up. And basically for reliabilty and performance, and cost of maintainance. You would struggle to find much better.
