Looking at another C5 for the stable, it has the reverse lights built into the cluster, side repeaters etc

seller thinks it originates from Germany as the first part of its servicing is stamped as there, I have phone them but nobody speaks english, so no luck.

question is, does anyone on here have the power within the Chevy network to check from chassis number if in fact it was an original euro car?

cheers, Nick

I think Mitch is from BM.

Euro C5s whels sit slightly further inboard than American ones. Many German cars seem to come in through that guy in Gloucester - my old Z28 did.

To spot a Euro car a couple of the firmer pointers are,

300 mph speedo dial (USA cars go to 200)

Steel loop tow hooks* (USA cars don't have them)

....plus of course the VIN

  • the front tow hook sticks out next to the RH fog lamp and the rear tow hook is just above the exhausts. Not 100% guaranteed as some people cut them off! But if they're in place it's a Euro car.
