With the C7 due out in 2013 what would you like to see on the car that is maybe missing off the C6?

More BHP.
Parking sensors/Back up Camera.
Power folding mirrors.
Bigger wheels.
Better seats and Interior.
Double clutch.

Better clutch (hydraulics)
Otherwise just a general spruce up would be fine

Better interior and maybe one of the latest generation of auto boxes to be available as an option.

Based on the things that are vaguely irritating on the C6...

Power-folding mirrors
Parking sensors
Better auto box
Automatic latching on the convertible roof
A Sat Nav screen you can read with the roof down
Robot passenger to handle car park barrier ticket

Smaller steering wheel, mine feels as big as a bus after driving other cars.

Power mirrors would be good, as would more supportive seats, although I don't think the latter will happen as it would mean the larger American gentleman may have trouble fitting....

Other than that just make it faster!

I'd like the car to be smaller, a lot lighter (which would benefit) power to weight and also economy.
All carbon fibre body panels.

Sod parking sensors, heated seats and all the other added weighty stuff that don't make the car go faster.

Keep the excellent satnav, HUD, Xenon lights, maybe LED rear lights?

Proper racing seats as an option for those that want them.

Do a proper GT3 version as one of the options.

I would suggest they basically do the Z06 as is now with the Z07 package, but also the Carbon Edition interior i.e. leather / alcantara as an option.

Also a removable roof for the Z06!

Keep a proper manual gearbox as I want three pedals and none of this flappy paddle st.

A well-priced base model. It will be a shame if the Grand Sport price in C6 range becomes the starting price in C7 range. For next year the absence of a base car from the European market suggests this is highly likely IMO.

And excellent feel in the chassis.

Didn't you say that your Z06 needed a rudder at one stage Nige?

What would I want to see on my C7? It would have to be a scantily clad Kylie sprawled encouragingly across the bonnet.

Or perhaps wheel sensors that were replace-able without the entire hub when the little connector pins rot away!

and most obviously, right hand drive. Despite everything else being ok, overtaking vision is impaired on LHD under most circumstances.

Couldn't agree more about rhd, but will it ever happen?

Smaller, lighter, more intimate & involving at 'normal' driving, better interior.

I'd never have a Corvette with runflats again after my previous experience.......no need for a rudder, just better tyres!

I like the idea of Kylie, but being a bit of a hobbit wouldn't her overall lack of size just highlight the enormous hood?

Interesting you mention the lack of the regular C6 being an issue. If there was a demand I am sure this could be ordered, but I doubt there is. Kroymans did a 'Competition' Edition a while back where the cars were all Black, standard seats, wheels, no Bose, no Navigation, nothing optional, not even Head-Up. They didn't sell quickly. Not one sold in this country........

As for C7 don't bank on RHD. The chassis isn't going to be heavily re-worked over C6. I do know what the standard engine displacement is going to be but I can't say anything. I am hoping that the auto box is dropped for a semi-automated manual as the racer in me loves paddle-shift boxes as they just open up a world of potential in the car. Advanced transmissions will play a much more important role over the coming years that's for sure. I think a racing bucket seat option would be cracking and would solve the issue for those who consider the standard seats unsupportive. The interior needs to build on the quality of the current generation CTS too.

The Competition edition never sold well because of those reasons I think customers that would pay that price still wanted some luxurys in their Vette!
It looked so boring no Spec and at the time a nice used C6 was the same money!

I agree the Interior along the lines of the new CTS would be great also start looking at longer warranties on the cars they are only going to sell in the hundreds in Europe so a five year package would help keep the value as they get older..

I may even find a nice used Z06 but the time the new C7 is out!! laugh

As long as the robo-manual can do a decent job then fair enough, I'm just very wary of them after then tales of Z4s with the SMG box burning out clutches in stop-start traffic. DSG boxes seem to be better, but I'm not sure how well they cope with low-speed antics.

You've clearly not driven anything with Q-Select or F1. It's the making of my 8C without a doubt. Dual clutch boxes with a relevant torque rating are still pretty expensive.

A sequential box would be nice, but I personally hate paddle shift boxes, given my experiences of the Lamborghini E-Gear, give me a stick shift any day, I want to feel I'm in control of the car not some engineer who programmed the computer for the gearbox who doesn't know my driving style.
Also manual boxes tend to be lighter and easier to maintain!

A couple of people have said they want the C7 to be smaller than the C6, its not that big a car really, just wide in Z06/ZR1 guise.

I agree with the interior, needs to be more of a higher quality feel about it but then I didn't buy mine for the interior smile
