C5 Z06 into NZ

Having had a standard C5 before, I would like a Z06 to 'scratch that itch'.
Anyone know if I could buy and land into New Zealand anything better than this 2001 car at NZ$43,000.



Secondly, is the Z06 MUCH better than standard or wait for a standard C6 instead?

I've since found that this car hasn't got the HUD - do Z06's have this option or not?

2001 Z06's did not have the HUD as an option, but it is possible to retrofit one and it is likely a 2001 Z will have a HUD enabled instrument cluster.

2002-04 Z06's had the HUD as an option and I believe it was quite popular, so it is likely you will find one with it.

Hi mate,
My 01 has had "hud" installed, plug and play,you will need the cluster and hud unit
some say the wind screen is coated for use with this option
mine seems fine,and the screen is non hud type.
Do they need to be right hand drive in nz,or is that only in oz.
They are great cars.
They seem to go for anything from 18k gbp to 25k odd here in the uk whatever that works out
at in nz money.
Then there is shipping and tax.

My old C5 had the HUD and I would have to have it again. Price looks good then all landed here on the road but I should wait for one with the HUD.
If the car meets the criteria then it no longer needs converting to RHD.
