C6 owner in W or SW London area?
Discussion
I'm idly thinking about getting a Corvette, though probably not before next spring. Contrasting what I want - Z06 - with what I can afford ... I think a C6 manual coupe with the handling pack looks like the favourite.
I'd really like the opportunity to look at and sit in one before I start to get carried away. As I'm on the tall side I often find some cars seats/driving positions just don't work well for me.
So ... is there an owner in the W London area that would let me look at their car and maybe take me for a passenger ride? Or are there any get togethers planned that would give me a similar opportunity?
Also any obvious things to look out for or be aware of?
thanks!

Well I could do that of course, indeed there is an American car place practically round the ocrner from me in Barnes, though they rarely seem to have any 'vettes.
However, because buying is a while off (at best) I didn't want to waste their time and would rather have a natter with an informed owner if possile.

CCCUK Surrey Branch meeting would give you the chance to look over a wide range of Vettes (classics through to C6), and I'm sure somebody would let you sit in and/or take you for a quick run. They're 4th Tuesday of the month at the Fairmile Arms in Cobham, so next one is tomorrow. Kicks off at about 7:30PM.
Dan, while I realise a Z06 isn't what you're after, you're welcome to sit in mine whenever you fancy. Other than the next month, you'll often find it parked on Putney Hard at weekends - you know the place! I suppose it's not inconceivable that I may sell it if I discover something even nicer that has anywhere near as big a boot, but I've seen no signs of anything like that yet... How's life BTW? Made it into the Thames this year which is a big deal for HSBCRC Matt

Thanks Matt, that would be great. I assume the interior is pretty similar - layout, size, etc.? Haven't noticed you post much lately.
Congrats on getting into Henley. Unfortunately I wasn't there at all this year so didn't see you.

No, not been on here much... ever since I started rowing again!
