c6 z06 px for viper?

A performance downgrade you say?

Slower, heavier, less fuel efficient, less space, more expensive to maintain. Not much wins for the viper.
But they do look good.

As a previous Corvette owner, how do you relate the viper?
Did you find it useable for long trips etc? Or is it strictly a limited use car?

Ive been looking at both vehicles myself. But just about everyone says the C6Z is by far the better of the 2.

The viper is all hands on deck, exept on a smooth motorway where you can relax alittle providing you stay away from the grooves the lorrys leave on the slow lane, personally the viper looks better but the vette is a quality ride and drivable around towm, just depends on the type of car the individual wants, the viper is callenging and some dont mind this kind of drive, as for the viper being a performance down grade? the dodge viper was faster than the corvette zr1 and the fastest stock manufactures car untill august last year around nurburgring

well from experiance of owning a c5 z06 supercharged and c6 z06 both very nice cars but the viper gts is different experiance its hard to describe the feeling unless you are driving the beast its the only car i have kept this long well over 3 years and would only replace may be with a viper acr.

I took a Snakeskin Green SRT/10 Coupe for a test drive in the USA and have to say it left me cold.

I have driven a GTS Viper and liked it
I like the more raw unrefined aspect I think.

I compared, contrasted and read all road tests when I bought my 2002 C5 Z06. Every single article said the Z06 was better so I bought it with my head and it was a great car.

Still wish I'd bought the Viper. LOL.

Exactamundo! Some cars need to be bought on emotion I think. Though the gen4 looks a much better comparison on both levels..

Actually its only the 08+ 4th Gen Vipers that beat the CZ06. The 03-07 dont quite make it.
Though I guess from 03-06 they were better, then the Z06 came out and took the title until the 4th Gen.

Of course now the ZR1 probably has the title again. So best value at present looks to be an 08+ 4th Gen Viper

a few seconds between their performances on the 'burg ring (as an example) isn't really a decider between best of each model (ACR v ZR1?) They're both top performers

Yeah although the Vette blows the Viper away for fuel efficiency. Especially the ones pre 08
