Word of warning...if you use your Vette for business, Stevenage may not be for you. I checked them out for my renewal last month, and they could only do SD&P (and to be honest the price wasn't brilliant either). I stayed with Privilege, and there were quite a few other reasonable options via GoCompare (but avoid meerkats as they seem to have very expensive tastes!)

Based on my experience of phoning around specialist brokers over the last couple of years, if you do a reasonable mileage and use your Vette as a daily driver (or rather for business) then you may better off with some of the mainstream insurers.

Ultimately, as you're probabaly already aware, insurance premiums will come down to the postcode lottery and all the other things designed to confuse Etc. I have found that in a number of cases, people that come onto forums and say that they got a their Vette insured for £xxx, based on yyy miles are obviously getting something that I can't as when I've tried I can't get anywhere near to the prices stated.

I currently use Stevenage Insurance Services, who have always been great for me, but you could try

Adrian Flux
Footman James
MCE
Heritage
A-Plan

Cheam
Footman James (their call centre has gone down hill unfortunately since being bought out)
Firebond if they cover Vettes. I've always found them helpful.

When I parked by your car the other week it looked like a mobile storage unit!

Most companies should offer you 15% discount if you're a member of the CCCUK (or other club)

I used Stevenage & find them very reasonable & helpful.

Where was it?

Went with Adrian Flux in the end for £400 less than the previous policy!

was that on a Friday? Suspect it may have been lots of bits of boat, ready for Metropolitan Regatta!

Yes it was.

Incidentally, I had my lowest ever insurance renewal today - £109!

Not on a Vette sadly, just my mini. Amazingly low though considering it has four drivers on the policy, onw with 6 points (me), one 25 year old with a fault accident, and all of the mods declared.
Even includes breakdown cover!

I'm with Admiral and we use a Multi-Car policy for 3 vehicles. The more vehicles you can add to it, the cheaper they all become. Currently we have:

Jag X-Type Estate with business use
Saab 9-3 with business use
C6 Corvette including commuting.

The lot costs us under £800 pa and the 'vette counts for under £300 of that.

Interesting... The best quote I got for my C6 was from Bell (part of Admiral, with Admiral themselves being a few quid more expensive) at £700 for Business Use, protected NCB, 10K miles per year, only car. I'm oldish, with no points so no loadings there...but aftermarket exhaust which bumps it up quite a bit..so amazed at how cheap your Vette insurance was with the same company.

Did you go for low miles, or not bother with protected NCB? Any mods? (you may not want to answer the last one smile )
