Hi Guys.

First of all, apologies to Simon and the Thames Valley Chapter for not coming to The Waddesdon Manor Picnic this afternoon.
My lame excuse is that I was busy supporting the Australian Skelta Sportscar guys, who were displaying statically and on track at the "Dad's Day Out" organised by Petrolhead Nirvana (PN) at Dunsfold today. Now that is definitely one for our diaries next year !

The event is in aid of a Children's Charity and PN sell rides in Supercars etc (£20 for 2 laps) on the Top Gear Track. Place was packed out with Lambos and Ferraris, plus all sorts of other good stuff, including: Carrera GT, Vipers, Cobras, Atoms, Crossbows, Alfa 8C, Spykers, hot Bentley and our Skelta Spyder. There must have been 50 cars providing the rides. BUT, there were NO CORVETTES - not even in the car park, as far as I could see. We need to change that for 2011 ! It was a great day out and the on track driving opportunity was effectively ALL DAY.

How about Mr G4HKS setting up a Corvette Posse for "Dad's Day Out 2011" ? I think Dunsfold may be in your bailiwick, Nigel ?

All the Best, Chas

Yep, I did wonder where the Corvettes were too! But I did wave to a guy in a blue C5 on the way home just before Ockley on my way back towards Dorking wink
