My goodness me, trust you to do it in style Nigel. Horrible to see that happen to your lovely car. I would get the plate off it pronto and glad you are okay. Pretty sick though eh?

yikesyikes Glad you are OK Nigel, That is a perfect way of how to write a car off, not a single panel untouched. Shame about the car a nice looking example (before of course)

Wow !
You certainly totalled it !
At least that won't be repaired and some unsuspecting soul gets to pay good money for a shoddy rebuild.
I hope you get over the inevitable night time mental reruns quickly. Jeez !!!

Weirdly I've had none of that as I think the initial impact with the central reservation knocked me unconcious......looked from the motorway bridge near where I hit today and there is about 100ft of new barrier and the stump of a lamp post!

You certainly did a good job!! Are you selling the car? I need a few bits and would buy the whole car at the right price.

Glad you're OK after that one.

Looking at the pics, that tear in the front left chassis rail is quite something. The rest of the structure has stood up well.

Sadly a non Corvette owning mate of Nigel's - we generally meet up at the LMS and FIA races.

Nigel kindly took me over to Zolder in the Z06 18 months ago - was fun when we were a little late for the tunnel!

Nigel,

Damned shame to see that sad outcome, when you had clearly put so much effort into what was
undoubtedly a pride and joy Z06 !

Doubt whether it would have had much of a bearing but, as part of the education process
for other Z06 owners, do you remember what setting you had selected on the traction control
before she aquaplaned ?

Good to see loads of tread on the front tyres, and here's wishing you a satisfactory outcome
from your discussions with your insurers.

Best Regards
Chas

Hi Chas,

Traction Control was fully on, as you say the front tyres were only replaced at Xmas so had less than 1,000 miles on them and only about 3,000 on the rears.
