It only affects 2005 and 2006 models according to the web-site.

Shock news: Surrey Rep bans all Vettes over 2 years old from branch meetings laugh

We know Vettes are really like fine wine and mature nicely with age...

No, they are all sat at home awaiting the recall notice !
Just a thought; what if your car suddenly decides to lock both outside wheels at 70mph on the way to the recall appointment on the M25,and turns sharp right into the barrier ?
Should Chevrolet pick up your car for the fix ?

Yeah, shame about the curry night. Had a 2 day work event with an overnight stay so ended up in the hotel bar all night watching the results come in... (purely in the interests of democracy, of course!). What's happening in Hambledon?

Its a yearly event - Sports Car and classics show. Usually a very good turn out. Only on from 11 to 3:30 Sunday. Hamish and a load of others are going down there.

Seen the state of Nigels Z06? Poor chap.

Serious question here - who should I contact about my 2005 C6 and these recalls? Haven't heard for sure if UK/Europe cars are affected. My car was supplied originally by Stratstones Park Lane, but I bought the car privately second hand. Stratstones aren't still selling Corvette are they?

I'd like to be able to speak to someone to see what the score is on this. I did ask on CCCUK but haven't had an answer as yet.

Thanks in advance.

Not sure if Strats are still doing servicing/warranty/recall, but Whitequay in Reading and Southampton are, and of course BM in Manc.

Got a reply on CCCUK regarding the Steering angle sensor recall.

If anyone else needs it, please look here:

Thats a good point, did your car need the recall and do exactly what I predicted ?
Worth looking into if your model year was affected.

The recall only applies to '05 and '06 cars (not '08), and the problem tends to occur when the in-out wheel adjustment is used a lot (e.g. large Americans using the "easy exit" feature...). Having said that, never say never...
