Headlight mainbeam upgrade C6

Although I think the light output of the dipped beam is very good, I find the main beam very disappointing, so much so I can hardly tell the difference.

I am thinking of fitting something like the PIAA xtreme white bulbs.
has anyone else upgraded the bulbs with good results or do I just need to go to specsavers.

Hi there. I think you should borrow a mates C5 to appreciate how much better the C6 lights are, however the output of the C6 aren't the best but they certainly aren't bad by a long shot. I wonder (and no doubt be told) if the UK versions are any different to those fitted to US imported cars?

Many of the US guys upgrade their headlight mainbeam to HID, not expensive and easily done.

Specsavers / clean inside and out of windscreen / clean your existing glasses / open your eyes / only drive slowly on better lit roads / olny drive during daylight hours.....

Low beam yes, high beam no.

I am more like Janis Joplin, all my friends drive Porches, I tried to make amends with the vette, great but the main beams are suspect to say there better than really crap is not much of an endorsement.
They are way below my Saab 9-3 in main beam performance.

I just wondered if fitting higher performance bulbs would be a worthwhile endeavour.
