There was a bit of humidity on the road so I had to take care on high speed and had to avoid revving over 4.500rpms, with my Hoosier dot tires is not advisable to challenge the luck on a non perfectly dry tarmac...

^ I thought so, they may get punctured very easily then. I was going to use them some years ago on one of my cars because they're so sticky.
Well, this is the second set of Hoosiers I use on this car, the first ones lasted over a couple of thousands miles and they've never got punctured...these new ones have about a thousand miles on the clock and they're still like ''new''...Boosted LS1 said:
That sounds pretty good. Do they go a bit square when the car's been parked for a while? How much tread do they have when new? A friends racer used them. They were mega sticky but there wasn't a lot of tread depth and they did go square. Went round after a short drive though
Tread is not very deep, they get a bit squared if not run for a week or so, but they go back perfectly round after a few miles. These tires have surely cons but they're a hell good rubber if you drive hard on good dry tarmac.
