Sitting on the toilet reading Evo this afternoon I was completely shocked to read that the Porsche Cayenne Turbo they had on test cost £90,005 new in July, is now worth £52,500, returned 17.3 MPG, it was also fairly crap at pretty much everything it was supposed to be designed for and therefore cost including fuel £3.52 per mile that they used it!
What's even better is the older ones that you can pickup for 10-12k are being bought by every chav going! It's the new shogun for them, Porsche should bring out a Burberry edition for the used market.
Good to see that they should just stick to sports cars and leave the 4x4 to the VW Toe-rag!!

Best place to read Evo. Martin - agree with you on Evo, I gave up reading it when I started feeling it was a Porsche owners mag.
As for used values, they have the Cayennes (generally distastefully modified in appearance) here in China - thing is, they also have the joy of paying about 100% duty on them as they are imported cars! (Many more common manufacturers build plants over here to make their models locally,e.g. Shanghai VW)
So some people REALLY like burning cash!

that is my prob, too, journos might not have to pay for their expenses ;-) in the end...................we ......are paying.......by buying the mag, BUT it is nevertheless interesting :-)
and my wife and I ar still thinking of getting a low-miles-vette-cabrio, but she want's to check the boot first, any piccies here, even if it is a Targa :-)

Rainer, assuming you're talking about the C6, there's quite a difference between the boot on the convertible versus the coupe: the size of the boot opening has an effect, and the rear-end design itself limits the height of what you can get in. As a guide, you can get a couple of regulation carry-on wheelie bags in there and still have a bit of space on top and at the sides. If you don't want to use the roof, you can fold down the divider and almost double the size. On the flip-side, you can't get a vette rear wheel in there (without tyre)! The only way to be sure is to find someone near you who owns one and take along your favourite bags... (I did the same when I was going to hire a Mustang in the States )and my wife and I ar still thinking of getting a low-miles-vette-cabrio, but she want's to check the boot first, any piccies here, even if it is a Targa :-)
