Saw Godzillas post on the Akopavic Exhaust ...looked and Sounded Superb E-mailed them for details .....Just too Rich for me but got me Intersted in the Sound of my car I had Borlas on my C5 Z06 and my C6..............So onto YouTube and heres Martin's [G4HKS] Burbling away with many another .......SOLD, Straight on to Ecklers and ordered a set.....They will be fitted on reciept and ready for the Spring [if we ever get one!] Think we are having withdrawal Symtems!

When you first fit them Ken just be aware that they sound totally OTT for at least 2-3000 miles and, like me you will wonder if you have made the right choice. Nigel vetteheadracer told me not to worry 9and he was right) after they have carboned up they sound so much better. You will get a bit of droaning but provided you alter the revs it’s great. In fact I have never had so many comments about an exhaust system. The snap crackle and pop on the overrun is pure heaven. Who the hell needs a stereo in the car?!

Appreciate that Martin and that was the YouTube Clip that SOLD it for me..... I'll bear in mind what you said about it becoming slightly more mellow when she's Carboned up a bit. The Guy who purchased my C5 Z06 said virtualy the same thing and I remember well driving out of the Exhuast Centre that fitted that one and Thinking..... WOW! that's a Tad Loud.... to say the Least.....So I am prepared for a Huge Decibel Racket......Bring it on!
Got the Borla Stinger Delivered Monday the Ist Feb and had her fitted Wednesday.....Cost a little more than the C5 and C6 to fit as the Guy insisted on taking the Originals off in 'One Piece'......Suppose I can sell them on E-bay ....whether anyone needs a New C6 Z06 OEM Exhaust?
Now how do they sound? ........Superb ....Nice Mellow 'Bellow' ...not in any way Raw.
Martin I heard what you said about Tintinitus after your run to LeMans .....but on the ride home from the Garage people where popping out from behind Bus Shelters or Spinning round on the Pavement ....The Sporty Note Grabbing there attention ....then the Visual Precence of the car had them Staring until I was out of sight.....Excellent! You can't be a 'Shrinking Violet' in this car!
Would I recommend one ....Hell Yes.....I'm on my Third!!

Let me see what they look like after install - an image on here would be nice. I used the Z06 the other day and thought how much quieter they now sound. Or maybe I have just gotten a lot deafer!

Btw, don't sell your old pipes until you've sold the car. if the new owner doesn't ask about them then don't pass them on. I took mine off after 500 miles and they are wrapped up in the loft so really are almost as new. Still wouldn't sell them though. Probably worth a few quid new too.

Martin had the car out today for it's first 'real' run [Part from Hurrying home after the fit!] ........Outrageous.....when I fired it up in the Garage it..BURST into life without touching the Throttle....... I 'Limped' out the Garage and down the Village......In deference to the Neighbours.....than fed in a bit Power ....Yikes!!

As you say they are not 'Rolled' likes the C5 Z06 or the C6......had a Crew of Mini Admirers turn up to have a look....They were only around 9 or 10 year old they Spotted the Exhausts and all went to the Back to get Piccies on their Mobiles .....so that's it then....Approved by the Village Kids!!
