What oil do you use in your Corvette?

Castrol Edge, 0W-30 (I think), was recommended by the guys who service mine as being better than the Mobil one.
Can't say I notice the difference and I don't do the mileage to see if it lasts longer either. I think I hit 9k miles in 3 years last month...
Mobil 1 for me. I used to use Castrol Edge 0W-30 in my Z4 (recommended by BMW) and seem to remember it was the most expensive oil on the shelf (OK, it's only a few quid but times are hard!). I can't help thinking that as long as you go for a well-know synthetic it doesn't really make any difference. After all, in the US it's "essential" to use Mobil 1 5W-30 in the C6...whereas for the same car in the UK the sticker in the door recommends Mobil 1 0W-40! If you want to see oil-angst gone unchecked, browse the US Vette forum where C6 owners change their oil every 3000 miles and send the used oil for analysis (and this is for road cars!)Can't say I notice the difference and I don't do the mileage to see if it lasts longer either. You're probably right, I seem to recall the garage saying that thats what they put in Lambos and Ferraris and I thought 'if its good enough for them..'
Service costs aren't that expensive anyway as its an independent I go to as the only Chevy dealer on the Island wouldn't know a real Chevy if it ran him down.

It's a fairly confusing topic when it comes to oil, I do believe you get what you pay for, but I also see two extremes, either too expensive, or too cheap. I've used anything from Mobil 1 to even using Halfords FS in recent times and actually wonder if there is much difference between the both of these oils. I've only used Halfords fully synthetic after seeing others use it, under varied conditions, with no problems at all.
Mobil 1.
1. If it's good enough for GM it's good enough for me.
2. Used it in a lot of cars and never had any problems.
3. I've spent so much money on Mobil 1 over the years that I must own 10% of the company by now so feel I have a vested interest in continuing!!

If you click across the time line at the bottom to 1992 you'll find the first OEM use in Corvette.
