Going to the USA next week and I am renting a 'Vette as it seems that I cannot get a test drive in a Z06 in this country. I know that the C6 ZHZ is not as good as a Z06, but it should give a fair indication of what to expect from its bigger cousin. I am praying that it will be as good as it looked when I toured Bowling Green this summer...

Now then, how do I keep the sports exhaust permanently open. There has to be a fuse somewhere...evil

The fuse is in the passenger footwell.

Thanks for the suggestion - found it within 5 mins of getting the car evil It does sound great...

I am trully impressed with the car - and that was a 26k miles Hertz 6-spd auto... It handled really well, the grunt was incredible and I am certain that nothing short of a GT3/RS/430/CSL can stand up to it. Is the Z06 even more impressive? Is it worth considering importing a 6spd C6 with the performance package and then upgrading the brakes and shocks or the Z06 is really that much of a monster? Btw, anyone in London area looking to sell a Z06 should get in touch via my profile. I have a feeling the Z4MC will have to go. The S54B32 engine is there with the best, but once I had experienced the growl of a pushrod V8 on full chat it is difficult to go back...

P.S. Also got done for speeding at 92 in 65... I blame Hertz and GM for offering their evil product to people like me, ossifer!

So you have never put your foot down on an empty motorway?

Love the Hollier Than Thou attitude.

Do you honestly think that if I go to test drive a Z06 with the serious intention of buying the car I would behave like a tt? It is not as if I don't have reasonably fast cars already and more than 10 years of experience with them...

Moreover I was asking for advice - and it seems that nobody in the UK has a Z06 in stock anyway...
