Just save it as a license.txt file in your "\My Documents\EFILive\V7.5\User Configuration"
Overwrite the one already there from the free demo software.

It will let you modify and save tunes and remove all the software restrictions in the demo.

Do you know the type of cable used? I would go and stick my heed under the dash but the car aint here at the moment.

OBDII, but the software uses a proprietary protocol to talk to the V2 efilive unit
You can use the software freely but will still need the v2 unit for scanning and tuning the vehicle.
