My Friend is the owner, And it has been a bodyshop for over 40 years. It's not a massive place but he will do a good job and not charge the earth!

Mechspray are very well reputed, and having had a go in their workshops they've got a wonderful outfit.

I guess you already know you can (I believe) specify the bodyshop over where your insurer may push you.

Just a couple of points -

- I'd steer clear of the major outfits, know so many other people (including the wife) who've had really poor work done and then passed back to them. I think one work coleague managed to get into double figures and several months of to'ing and fro'ing to get his car right, imagine what a mess they could make of a Corvette.

- Personally I'd go to someone who has previous (good) experience with Corvettes, since they'll know at least how everything goes together, as well as any specifics of painting a fibreglass rather than steel car. When I had a small amount of work done a few years back, even a TVR shop were a bit nervous of the 'Vette since they didn't really know how it was screwed together.

Hope this helps!

Mech Spray without a doubt.

Pete Darwell has been winning paint awards since the 70's and Wayne, his son is pretty special along the same lines.

Great set-up down there. I was lucky enough to have a workshop day with them a few weeks ago, and they are seriously top notch.
