Would anybody think of getting a Viper instead of a Vette? Or has anybody got rid of a Corvette for a Viper??

I have to agree after seeing them in the States last month I think they look great! They won't hold their money like a Vette, And i think the 40k mark for a SS is too much for a Camaro it should top out at around 32k.
Are you looking at getting it from a UK dealer? I know bauer millett have a load in stock.

Mark, you're going to have to get rid of the kid sticking out of the rear trunk before you do mate.

I looked at one yesterday at Newports. 6.2 SS RS £43,000 though on the road.

I agree with the comments about the Camaro. Thought about replacing my C5 with a Camaro, but the premiums are huge at the moment. £40k+ just seems way way too much for a Camaro, even if it is a fully-loaded 2SS (which most of them seem to be that are advertised in the UK). Give it a couple of years and there'll be plenty knocking about at much more sensible money.

So I'll just sit back, let the first owner take the depreciation hit, and wait until the novelty has worn off. Black with silver stripes, please, and if you could maybe replace the standard wheels with some 20" Centerlines at some point, that would be nice. Cheers.

Well not the Vette but i am planning on replacing the Mustang with one (Camaro) in a coulple years time when they have droppped like led ballons just like the Mustang did, i use it as my daily driver/work horse, the boot is full of tools and i clock up about 15k a year, and i have to say the Mustang has been great (even if it is the V6), ideal for a daily driver that looks the nuts.

I hope so mate.http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1334241.htm
Need to raise a bit of cash,so what do i sell, nope the truck is going nowhere.
The zo6 vette ,or the viper...................................................
After a lot of if`s but`s and maybes its the viper.
Main reason is its worth more cash. That and the fact the zo6 has lots of work
in it.And at the mo would be hard to do again,it just is a finished modded car
that drives as sweet as a nut.
I love my viper, and if i had the space and patients to save longer then i would not
consider selling it.

cheers guys

Dave,
Sorry to hear its gotta go, i was only talking about it the other day with your nephew (my next door neighbour) if only i had the money, A viper is still my dream car, and one day it will happen, but a long way off, you are a man after my own heart with a collection of vehicles that i too desire, i too would love a Lightning sat on the drive and your Z06 is beautiful, and i would say that the Z06 would be the harder to replace as you have put so much into it and you would never get your money back on that one, its a keeper i think! The Viper i think could be replaced at a later date much easier than the Vette, good luck, if my numbers come up ill be a knocking.

Done deal, a spin to scotland and back will do!, I have been trying to convince him he should paint my vette as a challenge, he is slowly comming round to the idea, I will get there in the end, and yes he's a nice lad.

Martin I am sure you have some loose change in your pocket shy not add the Viper to your collection, much more class than the Bentley or Aston, I will even offer to house it and look after it for you! Tell you what I will even drive it for you, dam I am a nice guy!
