Not sure how helpful this is going to be.

The 2001 Manual says "GM Power Steering Fluid, GM Part No. 1052884 - 1 pint,
1050017 - 1 quart, or equivalent."

The 2003 Manual only mentions part no 1052884 for use in the US.

No sure what the "equivalent" is, but I have some Valvoline SynPower PowerSteering Fluid which says it meets GM part # 1050017 - it's synthetic

Whitequay at Reading or Southampton should be able to get some, or I guess any GM dealer might help as it's probably pretty common across the range.

Sorry I missed you at the Rolls Royce visit - looked out for you and eventually spotted you leaving!!!!

Thanks guys.

Tried Ian Goss couple of times, probably very busy as no response, or maybe he's on a well deserved holiday!

Rich, as you say the manual mentions, 'or equivalent', don't want to add the wrong fluid, just in case it's not compatible. Must get some soon as we are off to Loch Lomond, which should make it an interesting drive once we are beyond the Lake District area.
Shame we did not meet at the Rolls Royce event, saw your car, but could not find you. After being there for an hour and not being able to get into the factory, a few of us decided to go to the Lamborghini London open morning and yes, they let in the Corvette and Maserati, (+ one Lambo) from our convoy.

Yeah I use ATF in a standard rack on a race car. The only time the racks have broken is when they've hit other cars, and even then it was the casting, the seals have always held up fine.

I use this stuff exclusively in my '87.. Gives great feel to the steering and runs lovely and quiet too.
