Painful this. Some good cars being destroyed and they are not allowed to salvage any spares either. Madness, the whole thing.

We have, literally, over 50 of these on the lot. No Vettes.. but a few nicer cars on the lot include:
92 Lexus SC400
88 300E
87 300E
96 Deville Concours (Has a Northstar, with a moonroof, 1 owner, immaculate)
98 Lincoln Navigator
98 BMW 740iL
And literally dozens of Ford Windstar minivans, Ford Explorers, Expeditions, Chrysler Minivans, Jeep Grand Cherokees galore, etc.

It just demostrates the hypocrisy of Governments,They bang on about global warming and ignore the fact that it has been shown these warm/cold periods have always been cyclic.
Then along comes money trouble and thats all forgotten to save their skin.
Short term fixes are the order of the day,how much (global warming) energy was used to produce all these servicable cars that are being destroyed ?
How much profit from new cars sales will help to make over 700 BILLION dollars.
There is plenty of work in dismantling the cars and STILL selling another to the owners.
The Governments have them destroyed and parting out is illegal, so nobody can make a profit out of the scheme and tons of servicable parts are destroyed(recycled). Er......wouldn't that help the World economy ,jobs especially.
