All things being well, Dee and I will be there - and I will bring your radio with me Martin.
And you will be able to eat your heart out old chap, when I regale you with what happened last weekend !
Have just returned tonight from the Nurburgring and Spa.
So there we are at the 'Ring on Sunday (at an RMA trackday with the Racing Green Australian Skelta Road and Track demonstrator). There is a bunch of serious machinery in the Paddock - everything from Atoms to an F50.
And then our engineer asks if I have spotted the Corvette ? Not just any Corvette, guys, but a black ZR1. So, you can eat your heart out too Godzilla !
Obviously I chat to the owner of this Swiss-registered Vette, who says of course I can come for a ride if I like. So I get the wristbands and out we go for 2 very impressive laps - with the traction control fully off. And then the owner takes our engineer our for 2 laps as well - his first experience of "The Green Hell".
The owner ? A really nice young German guy who was extremely friendly - and no mean pedaller for a young student (No, really, he is a student - studying Fianacial Technology in Zurich !).
One of life's great experience - seeing 340 kmh in a ZR1 on the Nurburgring. That's quick - as you will see if you do the conversion (tonight's little brain teaser !)
Thanks vey much Albert - it was really kind of you !!

Huh. That's it, rub salt in my wounds.
Not much chance of doing anything at the moment. Work schedule is stupidly busy, but there is a bigger problem.
After waiting until the repairer was ready to accept the Vette for some mechanical replacements, it went in Sunday 5th for approximately 2 days of work. I popped in this Saturday, a whole week later and absolutely nothing has been done on the car.
Part of the process means ordering parts, so even if they start tomorrow, I doubt that I will see it for at least 2 weeks.
It really annoys me when a repairer says that they can't take the car for 10 days, and when you take it in at the later time they asked for it, eff all happens.
Not happy with them, not happy with not being able to use my car, and not happy with not being able to make any events - but then again, work normally puts paid to a lot of the events.
I will be popping in this Saturday, and if nothing has happened, it's coming home and going somewhere else to have the work done. I hate doing that kind of thing, but then again, I hate being dicked around too.
