Hi Guys......These are the wheels I got form E-bay the full set 'As New' [not a mark or scratch!] with the Centre Caps at $1649 there is a similar set of Polished ones on E-bay for $1349 [ In a similar state of corrosion as my own] .....Mine are going on there soon for anyone needing new wheels or fancy doing a Wide Body Conversion!
Think as Godzilla said the Chrome are going to be more 'Hardy' than the polished and they look STUNNING!

Whilst I don't like chrome wheels I remember seeing a blue Z06 from Denmark last year at LeMans Camp corvette and thought how stunning it looked. Brightens up the whole car - Congrats!

I've just replied to your post on the CCCUK website Ken.
Mint looking wheels, you want to get something to seal
them after cleaning / polishing, to stop the crap getting
at them.
I'm into black now tho' wink .

black rims are good, chrome ones look stunning until you try taking the car anywhere then it because a constant battle to keep them clean, which is why I have a set of chrome wheels sitting in my garage!
I have enough trouble trying to keep the rest of the car clean let alone a set of chrome wheels.

Vetteheadracer...The original wheels on this car were 'polished' [not Chrome] as the car spent it's life as a Daily Driver in London....they had corroded.
It now lives in the Garage and only ventures out if it's dry my C6 did just 3500 miles......These wheels will be exactly the same when I sell the car as they are today. It will never see the Ravages of Winter roads and Salt My Mondeo will tho!!!!! LOL

Dave- those black wheels look stunning and definately suit the car, as do Vetteheadracer's on his Z06. Black always looks very businesslike.

Chrome is ok, but the amount of work involved in cleaning them has to be seen as a labour of love and they do seem to have a habit of pitting etc.

Why an earth would you want a "businesslike" looking Vette?! What next, we have to wear suits to drive them?

I believe that C5RagTop meant businesslike in
a mean/racing kind of way. (I hope).
Besides I don't have a bowler hat bowtie.

Dave.

Blue and chrome, Black and Black, both look cool cool

I'd love to have chrome wheels; but also can't find the time to keep them looking spotless.

This last Corvette or mine (2002) ... I intentionally purchased a Pewter color
exterior. I call the color "water spot gray" as it doesn't show water spots all that well

Hi Keith .........Yes please do....myself and Dave met up Saturday at 'Judges' in Yarm for a few Pictures of both cars.....has a Great Driveway as a Backdrop.

Here we are taking a Couple of Pic's and a Guy and his wife stroll by "Two nice Corvettes" says the chap in a Deep American Drawl......I chirps up was that just an inpersanation......."No"! replies the wife "we really are Americans".....What are the chances of that.... me and Dave Thought!
Think I sent you a mobile number to text or Phone Cheers Ken
Bit of a debate on the 'Chrome' or 'Black'......heres two examples......I hear what is said but for me it will be a Labour of Love to Keep em Gleaming!

The Power of E-bay.......I decided to put my old wheels on E-bay with a very Low reserve [I haven't got the room to Store them anywhere] Here they have reached the reserve and may go a little Higher yet.......So I have an as new set of wheels on the car.....the Tyre Company Swopped the Tyres and Valves and Balanced them all for £40.....This is one of those jobs that has gone 'PIT-PAT!' and Whatever I get back of the Polished ones is a Bonus!

Hi Ya I think we have just spoken on the Phone..........just in case though.....the Fronts are +40 and the rears +59 I Think they would be Outrageous on a C5 following the fitment of 'wide arches' at least............Just Kidding as we agreed don't think these wheels are for you new Motor......... All the Best with it Anyway Post a Pic or two
