Hi all ..........I got my Z06 with Chrome wheels that were starting to corrode....after trying all our local Alloy wheel Refurbers I gave up and found this set on E-bay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...

The car was used as a Daily Driver by the Previous owner down in the 'Smoke' Now it lives in a Garage and unless the roads are dry it won't venture out......I'll be like the Guy who was saying he polishes the inside of his wheels!!
It had a 50p sized mark on the front wing and a mark on the roof £700 later it is back Immmaculate...........Painted and the whole car 'Mopped' back to it's original Lustre...........[I can confirm paint code 19U LeMans blue is Luxo Blue Metallic....over here and in the States]
Will post some pic's when the wheels are on.
I will put the Original wheels on E-bay for someone who needs a set for a Widebody Conversion project or just needs Wheels....Still Lovin this car it's Outrageous!

good price on those wheels ken.....the polished finish is hard to keep because its just not practical to wash the wheels every single time the cars used....i do try my best to tho!

Now then Irish Boy........Delighted with those wheels .....as it happens it now lives in a Garage on Trickle Charge and only Ventures out if it's Bone Dry and then it's back for a wash and Dry if some impertinant Fly or two have 'squished' themselves on the front......... or it's gathered a bit of 'dust'! [I'm lucky enough to have a Mondeo as a 'Hack' for work] I think I read G4HKS polishes the inside of his wheels.....Me too when I get them over.
I'll post some Pic's to show it off....when they are fitted!

I will Keith.......... my Pal Dave Sullivan has a C5 Z06
A bit like myself after seeing Keiths......... Now he's seen mine he has a Lust to own one....He rang about the Black one on Pistonheads at 35k [A 'steal' at the price!] "Sold on a Gentleman's agreement to a German Trader............" That was the problem I had.....Neither I or he .....could quite run to the 50k of Davids Beauty!
Anyways G4HKS .....'SAD' or not my wheels are Gonna Outshine yours!!!! LOL

I believe chrome is a lot easier to look after than polished.

Hope so David.........i am the fellow that e-mailed you about your Spare set.....as you say I think I got a Great price and they are 'Chrome' so hoping a wash down and regular polish will do the trick! W
Wish like others I had a quick 50k........I would have been e-mailing about the car instead......All the best with the Sale of that Monster Car of yours!

Why? You've already got your Blue Beauty!

My car is aimed more at a well-heeled European track day enthusiast. Had some interest from France but have now dropped the asking a little and am going to put it on mobile.de too.

I was a mite peeved to find the brand new wheel I ordered from the US failed to come with a centre cap!
Apparently they never do from GM...

So had to order a new cap and get it sent over separately. rolleyes

Dave they have 'arrived' and gone to HM Customs......I have to wait to get a letter from them with a 17 Digit code then I can pay the VAT online.......... as it happens I have just had an e-mail from ParcelForce to say as soon as Customs release them they will come up to the Local Depot within 48 Hours of them having them back ........I Canny Wait!!
I see the Red one is Down to 45k on PH that looks to be one Hell of a Motor someone with a Quick 45k is going to get a Superb Car............Might as well be the Moon Mind to you and I anyways!
No doubt I will be wanting to show them Off when I get them Dave!!
