Please Note -There is no on-site catering at the LMM apart from Tea, coffee and a snack machine! But as other Clubs have done, Elo is quite happy for people to order Pizza and bring in their own drinks - including alcohol –if they so wish. There are tables and chairs.
Hopefully, as promised Elo will be there to give us a personal guided tour around his eclectic mix of Cars and Customs.
If possible could you please let me know if you will be attending?
Hope to see you there,
Regards
Simon
Note: I'll be leaving from the BIG V8 meeting place at the Runneymede Pleaseure Grounds at 6:45 to get to Hayes by 7:30. Anyone from Thames/Surrey is welcome to join me from here - it's about half way between Reading/Surrey to the Hayes venue.
The Pleasure Grounds meeting point is located at: Windsor Road, Egham, Surrey TW20 0AE. Come off at Junction 13 of the M25 (Staines), turn off for Egham and Camberley, then at the roundabout take the third exit following signs to "Windsor" and it's on the right hand side, just past the Runneymede Hotel.

Doubt that I'll make this now. Forgot that I'm having an extended lunch in Mayfair today and doubt that I'll be under the legal limit to drive over!
Have fun trying to work out why a beetle has a dragster bolted onto the front of it, why a quad had 26" spinners, what half a morris minor is doing coming out of a wall, why there is a line of flash cars on foreign plates...

How was the visit? Elo is a top guy; met him on the Gumball where he brought his amazing SSC Ultimate Aero.
Was that back in the UK?
Good time had by all, your right Elo is a really nice guy with many stories of the gumball, one about a guy with a skyline that broke, and how the skyline driver convinced other gumballers that there was a lot of Police waiting up the road to catch people speeding, only really to buy some time to repair the skyline! You wouldn't know any think about that would you David??? And no it's not back in the uk yet.Was that back in the UK?
If he wasn't taking the mickey (which I strongly suspect he was) he got his wires somewhat crossed!
The 820hp GT-R I was co-driving did have 2 breakdowns, but it was the other GT-R that was doing the text messages about the police and was fully equipped with police frequency scanners etc.
Besides, as Elo well knows, there was no timing or even record-keeping of when people completed each leg of the rally.
I've written an article about it in Evo which will come out end of June and there will be a lengthier version on Auto-Journals.com that will come out the same time.
I'm being interviewed for the Gumball TV show next week too...

Holy thread resurrection Batman! I'm sure there was something newer than this about the 2011 Surrey visit to London Motor Museum.
Anyway. Gumball 3000 set off from Covent Garden at midday today and it was good to see so many cars - one Viper, no Vettes! However, Elo from London Motor Museum was there with a pristine classic Mustang - beautifully trimmed by his in-house team of experts. See the thread in General Gassing,

Hope they have a good trip!
