Chapter 11 on Monday!
Discussion
I think it's Sad news about the whole car market in the states, Chrysler now GM the only good thing is they should return a better run as a whole. The cars coming out of the US at the moment are great, ZR-1,Camaro,CTS-V and that's just GM's selection. Maybe this will work out as a good thing in the long run? it is a shame to loose Pontiac and Saturn look's like Hummer is finally being sold off as well. At least the Corvette is the best it's ever been in over 50 years of sales so that is a good thing.
Yes it's interesting to see the situation unfold. The likelihood must IMO be a rapid disconnection of the US and European operations in which future European sales of Cadillac/Corvette are just an afterthought.
I think Corvette is unlikely to be a casualty of the bankruptcy unless some greater plan leads to closure of the factories in which key components, like the LS series engines, are built. I've no idea how many engines are taken by Holden each year or how sales of the new Camaro will stand up but I'm not ready to panic just yet!
From the point of view of UK Corvette owners I wouldn't bet against further disruption of the parts and service arrangements!

That's already been happening for those of us still under warranty, I'm afraid.I think Corvette is unlikely to be a casualty of the bankruptcy unless some greater plan leads to closure of the factories in which key components, like the LS series engines, are built.
