Starting off at the Big V8 Meeting place at Runneymede Pleasure Grounds at 7:10am (AMMENDED!!!!) for a cruise down to Goodwood to join the Supercar Sunday Breakfast meeting, this coming Sunday, 7th of June.

The Pleasure Grounds meeting point is located at: Windsor Road, Egham, Surrey TW20 0AE. Come off at Junction 13 of the M25 (Staines), turn off for Egham and Camberley, then at the roundabout take the third exit following signs to "Windsor" and it's on the right hand side, just past the Runneymede Hotel.

Or Meeting place No. 2

At 7.30am. We will be going via Little Chef - Ripley Bypass
Ripley
Guildford
Surrey
GU23 6PU

The reason for the early start is this is a very popular event and trying to get down much later, (we should be arriving around 8:30am), traffic builds up in the narrow lanes leading to the event.

Details are:

Goodwood Breakfast Club - "Supercar Sunday"
Goodwood Motor Circuit, Chichester, West Sussex, PO18 0PX
From 7th June 2009 to 7th June 2009

Description

Supercar Sunday - the Ultimate Performance Machines. Attracting mouth-watering (and mostly mid-engined!) (Mid -engined? What's that all about??) ultimate performance cars and exotic superbikes, plus aerobatic aircraft.

Hi Martin,
Yes, we are seriously considering going. In the past we took the Lamborghini, so they allocated good spaces for the marque.
Want to take the Vette, but not sure if the organisers will do the same with the American muscle-cars, any idea?

Apparently since the intro of the ZR1 the Corvette is taken a bit more seriously! Pity they took so long to catch on......

True - when I organised the CCCUK attendance at the first Supercar Breakfast, I checked with them first and they hadn't considered Corvette. Managed to persuade them, but only C5 and C6 were allowed into the designated parking area.

I will be going. But with the Cerbera mob. We are meeting at the retail park in Guidford before the run down to Goodwood.

Looking good with the stickers Tommay! Are you renting your usual place out for Le Mans again? I'll be slumming it in the Beausejour campsite.
I'm going to this meet. Would anyone object to a BMW skulking along at the back of the Vettes on the way over there?

Thanks James, No stickers on the car this year …straying in a hotel about 20-30 miles away this year.
Only a few of us going this year, the Chateau we booked last year was just a bit too far away for a short stay (only doing 3 nights this year), also the numbers have dwindled a bit (recession), you need over 18 people to book the property (15 bedrooms) to make it cost effective. It will be good to see you on Sunday.

Why? You've already got one! biggrin
But seriously, Martin, a Z06 over an F40? I think you've been somewhat blinded by Z06 fanboy-ism... wink

If you promise to be nice, I may bring the big grey Datsun along and my mate Harry wants to bring his big red Fiat too.
Probably see you at the Ripley meet point.

Oh yeh - I forgot!!! I thought I had one of those Z things lurking in my garage. (As much as I love it, I wouldn't have given it a second thought if it was an Enzo however..)

Okay on the Ripley meeting place - great - I'll bring a load of Handie Talkies with me too for car comms.

See you bright and early Sunday morning and PLEASE bring that big grey flying machine with you.

Any more chaps for the Sunday cruise down to Goodwood then?

A standard F40 is a special car…the one in the pic is LM specified…produces an enormous amount of extra HP, spits flames and makes my Corvette (with the fuse pulled) sound subdued.
The big difference between these two cars (apart from the cost) is cost effective enjoyment versus collectability and high value, I drove to Le man and back in comfort and had a lot of fun…unlike the F40LM which required a trailer and a 4 wheel drive….
