My insurance is up for renewal on my '08 C6. Renewal quote from Privilege (ignoring protected NCD) came in at about £575, having gone up a chunk since last year because of the Borla Stingers I've just had fitted.

I gave Stevenage a call, but they couldn't do much better at £540. They said it's because it's quite a new car (rather than a classic), I've only owned it for just over a year (even though I've driven LHD cars for 5 or 6 years in total), and it's my daily driver.

Any advice on companies that are cheap on daily drivers? I use it for business, 10K miles a year, always garaged.

Compare the Meerkat, Money Supermarket etc......or you could try all the insurance companies that give club members a discount as detailed on the club Members Benefits page on the CCCUK website.

I went with Admiral. I have a multi-car policy with my C6 on a normal, UNlimited mileage basis, my work car which is a Saab 9-3 diesel and the wife's car - a Jaguar X-Type estate which has business use on it as she runs her own business. (I also have her covered for business use on my Saab just in case she needs to use it sometime)

The whole lot cost me under £600 a year which I thought was stupid cheap!

The 'vette accounts for only about £250 of the total bill. :-D
