Blue Z06's are the best smile

Having said that I was going into Gloucester this morning and followed an '06' plate red Z06 with a Bauer Millett plate on it.......unfortunately I was in the Merc 190 frown

Getting polished alloys refurbed is a bit of a challenge. I damaged one of mine on my C6 and could only find one place that would do it (near London). Their first attempt was dreadful, second is OK but not perfect (it looks fine in isolation but isn't as highly polished as it should be)...but I just couldn't face another try with no guarantee of success (3 days off the road each time). Not very helpful, I guess, but then again if you're getting all the wheels done it'll be less of an issue as long as they do all 4 the same.

Congrats Ken, it's looking good.

There is a place in Sunderland Scalled SEM that have been on the go for years now. I took my daughters alloy there, which was in a bit of a state and it came back like new, this was just from a corsa though, so not a polished alloy, but maybe worth a try

I also live in the NE and have a Z06, so if you fancy meeting up just drop me an email.

Akeithj Yes we will have too meet up....I had Dave Sullivan who has a Black C5 Z06 round yesterday I'm down Nr stockton on Tees where in the world as it were are you..........Thanks for the comments

Congrats Ken - welcome to the Z06 club. Car looks stunning and glad that you were brave enough to stick with it and see the sale through! Well done and enjoy.

Now hurry up and book LeMans for next month - you'll meet a whole bunch of Corvette enthusiasts there!

Le Mans won't cost you that much, probably 5 tanks of fuel from North East to Le Mans and back, a Eurotunnel crossing is usually less than £150 plus you could stay either at the Corvette dorm or camp!

Don't forget to book up for the Corvette Nationals and also Corvette Fame in Holland.......you only live once smile

Hi Ken,

Yes I believe that would have been me in Helmsley. I have two favourite driving routes which we regularly take, both of which involve going through Helmsley. If your previous car was red and was parked by the side of the road I remember the day. I have had my car about 18 months now and have never seen another Z06 on the road, except when I went to the Nationals last year, so you are joinging a pretty elite group - LOL..
