Check his feedback... previous buyer disputes.

Car also has finance outstanding, which isn't exactly ideal.

Is this the one that regularly used to have handicapped badge displayed while parked in that area?

Strange the side view is of an American spec? No side repeaters and red side marker lamps!

Seller ended the auction early. Presume sold outside eBay, but who knows!

Asked him for details of the outstanding finance. He responded saying he'd check with the finance company (wouldn't he know the approx. balance outstanding without having to check?!). Never heard back from him. Something not quite right if you ask me.

I actually Purchased the car [SEE MY POST 'JUST PICKED UP MY NEW Z06]..........I too was scepticle...I saw it on ebay thought 'too good to be true' ....and probably would be... but I pressed on I rang the Guy and said I would without doubt win the Auction, as I had the Funds.....I would just Bang in a Big Bid in the last minute of the Auction knowing it would drop back to £100 over the last Bid [Got my 2004 C5 Z06 In the same way had the Bid in and my finger poised on Confirm Bid.....then in the Last seconds Hit the Key! I bid 30k they were around 32995 at the time and got it for £25100].......On this Z06 I made an offer and we agreed on a price [very fair I have to say] 'Part one' was for me to Instruct him to pull it off the Auction as the 'winner' and I may both pay him Funds. Then I asked for the Reg and he appeared to 'waffle'.....At this point I am Suspicous....."Has this car got Finance on it" Ermm ....Yes a little ..."what are we talking 5 - 10k" rather more like 30k plus!!!!!!!! That's me out I told him.........He said it was with Lowcross Finance ....[I HPi'd the car and that checked out]....so I 'pressed on' and rang them Hello Bauer Millets said the voice....."I'm looking for Lowcross Finance" Turns out it is BM's......This Guy a self employed Businessman had purchased a Hummer there on Finance ....He then in 2007 purchased a New Corvette Z06 from Stratstone Park Lane London and had her fully spec'd [Why not hes only putting down minimum Money with a Huge Balloon on the End] and traded in the Hummer....He again used Lowcross to Finance the deal. So the Upshot was I would not pay him for fear of him not paying the Finance off and a Low Loader turning up a month or two down the line.....and I would not pay the Finance off for fear I may not get the car......So HOW to proceed....The answer was for him to surrender the car to Lowcross at BM's....I got a 'SALES INVOICE' [that I wrote and he had to adhere to it and sign it as the 'seller'] Clearly stating this "In view of the Amount of Outstanding Finace....Blah Blah.....I have agreed to surrender the vehicle to Lowcross Blah Blah...So the car was delivered to the Dealership....The beuaty of this I had it go through the workshops for a Test they did a mini Service too Oil Change and Stamped the book It was fully serviced at Stratstone in January 09 as it happens with new Tyres in November and also I was not giving him any Funds at all [in the End the Trust was upon him as I made no financial commitment until the car was checked over]....my question to the Service Manager is the car commiserate with it's age and mileage....and is anything wrong I should Know about....She checks out Fine It is a One owner... Fully Serviced car with 16k on the clock with every extra. I paid Lowcross direct got a HPi Clear Cert and a letter from them saying they have no further interst in the car at all. He has since gone on with Lowcross to purchase another VAST Motor!
I saw an article on the forum last night goes back quite aways talking about YERNINYASMIN or some such thing that is there E-bay Tag....everyone is speculating about it and some Guy from Stratstones 'pipes' in to say he knows the car and the owner.....It has not been Tracked as some suggested just used by him as a daily driver and it is Fully Serviced......He turns out to be a Real Gent who has helped me with any queries he did everything I asked of him including sending the Logbook with the car even tho it had his PP on [risking it going back into the system all the Trust has been from him ] I have put that on retention for him and put on my own PP. I obviuosly made him Jump thru Hoops so to speak to protect my intersts and had to be firm as you like I don't know the Blokie and had great mistrust but now the deal is done I have a Cracking One owner car..... and he has moved on! and as I say BM's acting as an Intermediary sealed the deal......The Boot was full of Goodies extra Mats Colour coded parts to fit still in the boxes....All the correct paperwork and History.....He saw in me a way to get rid of the Debt and did everything I asked on Trust including paying for the Car to be Transported from London to Manchester .....as I say he turned out to be a real Gent and the Dealership think the same..............PHEW!

Ken I am sure that you'll have no problems with the car. I was fully aware of the finance, but it is not my place to disclose such information on a public forum.
The car has been looked after by Steve and Adrian at Wavendon. The only item outside of normal servicing that has been replaced is one of the inner wheel arches when Tamar ran over a cat! Adrian had the fun task of removing bit of the cat cooked on to the exhaust...

Enjoy your new car.

Thanks for that James.....Thought I could smell something COOKING! [just Kidding] As you say the car is sound The owner turned out to be sound as a pound and a Gent] I like you would not part with his details but the Jist of the story was to show how far I felt I had to go to protect my Intersts and how far he went to accomadate me all on his trust......... I could have backed out at any time. The only commitment I had made up until I paid for it was the £15.50 'one way' rail ticket...............She is sat on the Drive looking a Million Dollars!

Good news. Shame that we all automatically distrust something slightly off what is considered to be the norm, sign of the times I suppose.

Got fed up with Pendragons pay and politics, also got fed up with being the monkey behind the scenes who fixed everything for peanuts while others got the credit and only allowed to deal with a fraction of the customers
