The first time I have tried the headlights on main beam they failed to work, the dash indicator illuminated and I could hear the relay working.
Checked the fuses swapped the relay still did not work.
Found it hard to believe it could be both the bulbs, checked the bulbs and found the element broken in both of them, replaced the bulbs all o.k.

Very strange I can not recall ever having to change one main beam bulb before.
Maybe faulty batch of bulbs.
Maybe over voltage but I would have thought that the voltage must be tightly regulated.
Anyone else experienced a similar problem.

Welcome to a Stratstone PDI. Never heard of that before? No water getting in anywhere?

More likely a Kroymans generated problem, who were pretty good at screwing up headlights.
Saabconvertaero, you are probably not aware, but your car will have been shipped to Europe with lhd lights, then Kroymans exchange them for rhd before sending the car to Stratstone. They forgot to do the occasional car though...

Shall I detail the very long list I had with faults on my first Corvette purchase from Strats or the last one? Nope! I will save everyone the boredom in reading it.

Anyway, now you have fixed the bulbs, are you still enjoying the car and WHERE ARE THE PICS ??!!!

Yes loving the car.

Must take some pics if/when it stops raining.

No signs of any ingress of water.

I realize the bulb failure is no big deal, though unusual in my experience and when two bulbs fail at the same time. It seems reasonable to wonder why and is it indicative of an underlying problem.

I was just curious to discover the possible cause of the failure and wondered if anyone had experienced a similar problem.

Probably never know, certainly not going to loose any sleep over it.

Thank you once again for your responses.
