Just got that e-mail myself! Some of the numbers look very odd... Like C6 6.0 autos being 10K more expensive than C6 6.2s !? Sun's out - why not buy one of their 7 '08 convertibles smile

Very strange that they have 6.0 C6 autos which list at £63k and £61k but the C6 6.0 convertible is list at £34! Also how come they have a Z06 7.0 2dr (as opposed to?) a Z06 7.0 Manual (as opposed to?) and a Z06 7.0 Coupe etc. all list much less than 6.0 C6's and now reduced even more!

Cadillac Escalade savings are quite a lot aren't they!

Some of the cars will be new, and others used, explaining the different 'was' prices.
The Escalades are good value, except for the old 6.0 - I had a bid on that car of £26k nearly 2 years ago...

I wonder what happens to Park Lane and Birmingham once all of the stock is sold? It's a good job that Wavendon is owned by another part of the company [Evans Halshaw], and has other revenue sources to keep the doors open.

This is discount on 2nd hand cars surely? i.e. they've a Z06 that was 39 now up for 35, another that was 40 up for 37.5 now. etc.

Yes, most listed are used cars but there are a few new C6's in there, convertibles included.

The Z06's look good value at that money too.

They'd get considerably more than that if one of the sales managers realised that Europe is the place to sell them at the moment! It's been shown this week that you can ebay an unprepared example for mid thirties.

This shows me that Cadillac and Corvette is dead again in the UK, Once all these bargain cars have been sold off, values will settle again Corvettes will go up just like in 2002. If Cadillac and Corvette are here to stay in the UK then GM must be mighty Pi**ed off with Stratstones!

Park Lane will close and so will Birmingham not sure if Bauer Millett will still sell Official cars? How can they compare against the madness of a huge PLC? It's a shame but this was always going to happen to them.

I can really see some other dealer looking to put their hand up for a Cadillac/Corvette dealership after Pendragons mess.getmecoat

Pendragon's prestige Stratstone division saw an operating loss of £2.5m in 2008 in comparison to a £32.3m in 2007. Its Evans Halshaw volume division made a £6.1m operating profit, compared to £35.6m in 2007.

The Pendragon share price has been gaining strength since the start of the year and is now at 21.75p.

Sprat to catch a Mackerel, methinks. I just phoned and all the Z06s are sold. I doubt they were ever really available at the prices stated in that sale flyer.

Because I bought a C6 from them! And also I know someone who bought the Z06!! The same with the Cadillacs I bought at a very silly price now even Strats are selling them for more, right time right place.

Fair enough.

The Z06 under-supply problem is crazy. We will be left with a situation where the ONLY Z06s being sold are new ones. Used examples will, in 90% of cases, be sold to Europe unless someone in THIS country is willing to pay over the odds. This situation will continue until the Euro weakens against the GBP (or vice versa).

It is as we speak.....!

And a lot of new C6's and Z06's were sold to buyers in this country, (more of the former I understand), via Strats at big discounts in the last two months.

There is a disparity between the UK market price and the market price in the rest of Europe. This is due to the weak GBP. When you're talking £45k+, there are a LOT of very capable cars to challenge the Z06 and let's not forget the lowly C6 at £25k. For <£40k, a used Z06 makes more sense IMO.

Actully that isn't the only reason. The cost of C & Z 6's cost a fortune in Europe, far more than our RRP's listed over here. I got some prices from Holland before I bought mine and I nearly fell off the chair. No wonder a lot of Strats stock has gone to Europe.

And have you decided yet?
