front splitter for 2008 Z06
Discussion
Hi all... Picking your brains again. Can anyone source a complete front splitter for a 2008 Z06 [black spoiler fixed to bottom of front bumper]? Or, alternatively, supply part numbers so i can search for one on the net.....
I also require 4 wheel centres for the polished alloys!
Thanks in advance for any help

Hi James. Well, its the last Z06 out of Wavendon, and i can only guess as to where they are. The nice man at Stratstones has ok'd me to order the parts from the States, rather than wait for the the Kroymans issue to be sorted out! Its a mint car, and the price was right, so i'm not complaining! I guess when [if] they start coming through again, they will be rather more expensive.
Hope your trip in the new fast Beemer went well....

Might be worth trying Whitequay as they said they'd have some kind of fax-based ordering system in place by now...
Failing that, the US Corvette Forum seems to be populated by guys who've memorised all the part numbers. You can find it at: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/index.php

If it was the car that I saw at Wavendon then I guess it's Silver. Nicely understated.Hope your trip in the new fast Beemer went well....
Beemer ran well, except for a bit of slack in the drivetrain, which I'll look at next weekend, and a failing left channel on the stereo (not BMWs fault - I've sepnt an unreasonable amount of money putting a Genesis amplifier and Morel Elate speakers in the car as the factory fit stereo was poor).
It's surprising how similar a Z4 is to drive compared to a standard C6 (6.2V8 vs 3.0I6 aside): very flat cornering which gets fidgety over ridges, direct steering slightly lacking in feel, strong brakes that aren't inspiring when pressing on even though they are up to the task, runflats that have no grip at the back when it's cold...It'll keep me occupied for a little while!
Congrats on getting the parts, I have just ordered a ton of stuff from them and Ecklers.
Silver is nice, but jet Stream blue? I have to disagree with you there! Looks too much like a Ford colour off an eightees Escort.
see:
I'll go buy a tin hat for when I next see Nigel.....
There is ONLY one colour for a Z06.
...Except I might just be in the minority here - the Z06 is no longer offered in Victory Red. Wonder if they are going to bring back Torch Red? That is much brighter.

You mean it wasn't made in Italy? Those buggers at the showroom told me it was! Who wants a non-Italian Z06?!!
Red can be its downside of course, people often say when did you get your Ferrari? Grrr!
Anyway with such a vivid green on your Triple I would have thought a bright Atomic Orange would be your ticket. That does look great but you'd have to be quite brave.
And James, I had my Z4M Roadster (red of course) for a whole 4 days and sold it on to get into my last C6. It was nice but once I'd made my mind up...

I traded in a Z4 3.0 when I got my C6. The handling on the Bridgestone run-flats was pretty grim... It followed cambers like its life depended on it and the ride quality on some surfaces was so fidgety it was just a pain in the a**e. I finally gave in and switched to Goodyear GSD-3 non-run-flats and they were great. Grip and traction in the wet were immensely better and the ride calmed down a lot. The only thing that took some getting used to was the softer turn-in because of the less rigid sidewalls.
Anyone who complains about the F1 Supercars on the C6 should be forced to drive a Z4 on OEM tyres - they'd never complain again
