help c 5 wont start

Check the fault codes on the DIC make a note of them and just cancel the lot.
If you don,t know the procedure here it is,
Turn ignition on,reset all messages on DIC so you have a blank screen,
Hold options button and at the same time press fuel button four times.The screen will now be in diagnostic mode and show you the fault codes.
In this mode the trip and option buttons are scroll up and down.scroll up and down until you find error codes.when you find one use gages or fuel to scroll up or down through that category.If you want to reset each one just press reset.
Do them all and see if it starts.
If not google Corvette fault codes or try this one;
www.nology.com/OBD2FaultCodes.htm
Best of luck

That'll teach your "friend" to go to Costco......if there is no spark it is unlikely to be the battery if interior lights work etc. more likely a failure in either the ECU or possibly the wiring for the coil packs under the plastic engine covers. I had a similar failure with my car and it turned out to be a wiring had broken on the fuel pump circuit so no fuel being pumped to engine hence no starting.
Engines are relatively simple things, i.e. they need only three things to start AIR / FUEL / SPARK. Check each is okay to eliminate them from your enquiries.

thanks for the info i had a similar problem with my viper gts few weeks ago it has a roe racing supercharger there was a broken or loose wire from the relay to fuel boaster pump few inches away engine was turning but didnt start change the wire all is ok know.in the c5 case i think it might be an ignition problem as there seems to be no spark at all going to charge the battery first then get my auto electricion hopefully we can reslove it.
still refusing to start trying to narrow it down so far the imomobolizer light is going out so its not the pickup in ignition barrel.fuel pump priming with ignition on but not cutting in when cranking.injectors have ignition feed but no negitive pulse from ecu.vehicle has no spark.that leaves the crank shaft sensor? engine ecu ?even though there is no sign of corrosion or water ingress in the ecu or the multiplug that connect in to the ecu.could it be the immobolozer ? have reset all the codes on the dash and also reset the immob.any help .big thank you to chris at bauer millet and also claremount for all their help.

When you say "it won't start" does the engine crank and won't fire? Not turn over? Do you get a "click" when you turn the key? Have you changed / checked the battery?
I had a problem with my C5 whereby it would crank but wouldn't start and it turned out to be the fuel pump wiring underneath the battery tray had shorted out and the fuel pump fuse had blown and kept blowing because of the short.
Bauer Millett chased down the problem and fixed it.
Has the car got fuel in it? I know this sounds like a stupid question but when it was at CostCo did some pikey come along and puncture the fuel tank to nick the fuel?
Engines are really simple in that they only need, fuel air and spark to run so you just need to check that you are getting all three!
