General Motors is to pull its Cadillac/Corvette brand from half of its European markets in order to focus on the UK, Russia and Switzerland following the collapse of its distributor Kroymans.

Automotive News Europe has quoted a GM source as saying: “We will take it down to less than a dozen markets.”

Cadillac/Corvette is currently sold in 25 European markets

Good news for Corvette owners

There are optimists
There are extreme optimists
And then there are those who think they're going to sell many Cadillac/Corvettes in UK

Mind you, for all I know Chrysler may still be trying to shift the Crossfire!

PS The mysteries of marketing never cease to amaze. GM have been selling Subarus badged as Saabs in USA. So why on earth they're trying to get Cadillac going in Europe when the cars could be badged as much-needed new product from the established Saab brand I just don't understand. But then again, someone felt it was a good idea to write "Chevrolet" on the Daewoo range....

Marketing = Pursuading you to buy something you really don't want or need.
