Cars polished, teeth shined?

No excuses - it's a fantastic sunny day - see you at the Fairmile or en-route to the museum!

I hope you spotted this little beauty while you were there,

although in a world of unneceesary hatch-backs Aston Martin's take the biscuit,

Somehow I prefer this one,

By the way the image above looks terrible, just a Ferrari wannabe as my son Henry put it!

I actually think it looks good but why ruin a perfectly good design in the first place!

Thanks very much - i thought all the cars looked fantastic, especially on the video cruising up. That must have been a sight. I would like to come to a few more CCCUK gatherings now that i am back in the UK. Unfortunately might have to miss the Nationals again, but i will probably be in the U.S. so should get my fill of Corvettes there!

Have I missed something or does Martin's new Z06 look remarkably like an AMV8 Roadster?

No! You said you read my Auto-Journals entry! It says I kept it below 4,500rpm, so that was a mere 144mph in 6th along the autobahns and autoroutes... biggrin

The 50mph thing is utter, stupid tosh that GM puts in all its owners manuals ranging from 1 litre shopping cars to massive GMC trucks.

Unless you do it all in 2nd gear, I would say it would be positively bad for your engine to keep it below 50mph!

OKAY OKAY!!! Yes I did read your write up and I focused in on the 4000rpm bit - and that’s what I am keeping it to. Gently accelerating and not labouring the engine etc etc. I must have run in a hundred new cars and so far so good.

Did you get my text or have I sent my details to the local kebab shop?!
