Seems the back of my stoopid jeans are not very compatible with the contortion needed to enter the Vette, Zip has ripped the seat frown

They are not leather so not sure if its repairable or not, small tear and piece removed (still have piece) anyone had a go? might need a new seat if not mad

A decent auto trimmer will be able to make an almost invisible repair to fabric. Leather/Vinyl can be done also, but only tend to last a few months. The 'Trimline' franchises tend to be trained quite well (if they still exist - haven't bothered googling them).
Used to use a very good guy in South London called Chester (also from trimline), but can't find his number at the moment.

e.t.a just looked - trimlinerepairs.co.uk

I took a chip out of the piping on my Z06 seats with the metal stud in my jeans last year.

Had a guy called Nigel from In-Trim fix it - perfect repair, absolutely amazing and very very cheap.

I'm not sure that he will go to France but if you are over in England I can put you in touch.

thanks Jenkins, if I have no luck I may use the Vette for one of my return journeys.

was wondering if these might be an answer

has anyone fitted them? is there a more specialist forum for Corvettes that may have experience with them maybe?

Surely a different pair of jeans is a better solution than putting up with seat covers in your 'vette!

rofl it was just to cover the tear wink will not be wearing the same jeans in that car again, seems much more of a pain to get in & out of than any of the other cars.

However, today I investigated further & found the seat cover is removable with seat in place, undo zip round back, unclip some buttons & remove a couple of staples and voila! its off!

down to upholsterers with cover in hand, 2 days & £40 for repair, although the airbag logo will not be on the bolster (location of tear)

Looks good, will see how repair turns out scratchchin
