I think they look great. Personally I don't like the wheels that are all black, the silver rim really sets them off

Whatever the aesthetic consideration, they would have a negative impact on the value.

Car's looking good VHR 'though I'm not sure about your photo location.

Is that HM Prison, Bellmarsh? judge

I am a big fan of black split rims with polished rims, especially the Fikse FM5 as I had on my old Camaro, but you can't buy them in Z06 sizes yet. Best wheel for the Z06 I have seen so far is the GT2 made by LG Motorsports, aping the design of the GMAC Race Cars.

I imported these via a UK distributor/dealer

http://iforged.com/showroom/main.php?g2_itemId=110...

17" & 18" two piece/three piece racing wheels.

Fine - except the valve stems were in the centre of the rim, not on the outside and there wasn't enough room for the brake calipers. The offests were wrong so the tyres sit proud of the wheel arches.

Judging from all the photo shots of Corvettes with fancy wheels you'd think they knew what they were doing. I clearly didn't.

Guess about the tyre pressure sensors.........

I agree, all black just doesn't look right - the bright finish on the rim looks so much better. The ones at the top of this thread look amazing!

Similar.....outside wheel / tyre fitters in Tewkesbury.

Black rims are so much easier to look after than anything shiny when your car is a daily driver in the UK. If the car was in a sunny US state or a summer show queen then I would happily swap back to the factory chromes or so aftermarket bling rims.

I would have thought black rims looks just as crap dirty as shiny ones would. Having fitted carbon brakes to mine I at least don't get all the crud dust sprayed over the rims as I did when I was using the standard pads. Much better feel too. Luckily I don't have to use my Vette as a daily drive. Wouldn't feel special.

Yep love black wheels with the silver rim. Very mean looking on a black Z06. That's the present for the beast sorted for this year then... biggrin

Similar cross over spoke pattern to the new ZR1 wheels. This machined version is my favourite.

As long as they last longer than the 360degree Forged things. Chas has had his 6 months and they are corroding badly, with additional big lumps of chrome flaking off. I would not be a happy chappy....

Hi Guys,

I wouldn't say my 360 Forged's are falling to pieces. But Martin is right, the chrome finish on the outer "lips" as Americans call them ("rims" in British English) are suffering "scabbing".

This is unacceptable on wheels of this cost and 360 Forged have advised they will supply new "lips".

However, there is a thread running on www.corvetteforum.com which suggests this will, or alternatively will not, happen. Right now, I am remaining optimistic - and I will report what happens.

Best Regards to all,
Chas

Ah, they're under new ownership aren't they?

Am surprised that these lips aren't stainless but they do love their chrome over there.
