Any of you where your Vette is your daily-driver been caught-out in the snow? I drove to work yesterday and everything was fine until I left the office and attempted to move the car from its space (pictured). Took 4 of us to push it out... even just letting the clutch out with the car in reverse at idle resulted in the car just sitting there with the rears merrily spinning away.

Michelin PS2s with 2.6mm tread makes for an attention-grabbing driving experience in snow and ice!

Cheers,
Ian.

Fortunately, I had just got home on Friday when this little lot dumped. With a slightly sloping drive, and a very steep, narrow twisting hill away from the house, I am glad to be in Paris this week.

Vette's staying in the garage, MX5 got stuck in the work car park this morning, so 1.6 and 116hp of gogo is more than adequate for the pointless wheelspinning.

It's times like this you realise the addition of wide tyres on anything is counterproductive...

The Mazda also does the trick the Vette used to do when left outside in these temperatures - the doors used to freeze solid to their seals - cue extensive use of kettle contents to free off...

This is where it's handy to borrow the kids' cars with skinny tyres and FWD!

Thanks very much... your C5 is rather tasty as well; I still have a soft spot for the C5 (previous Vette was a '99 Sebring Silver C5 Auto with bolt-ons).

Cheers,
Ian.
