C6 Z06 Oil Filter

Looking on the Internet there seems to be conflicting information regarding which is the correct oil filter for a 2008 C6 Z06. Is it AC Delco PF46 or PF48?

Mine uses PF48 - PF 46 is for C6

I had a PF46 which I bought back from a US dealer who sold it to me saying it was for a Z06! Thought I would just check online and of course some sites say that the PF46 / PF48 both can be used.
Anyway having been to Stratstones Birmingham on my way home and collected two PF48's (they said the PF48 is for the Z06 and the PF46 is for LS2/LS3 C6) I really can't see the difference as both filters look to be exactly the same size!

I think they are threaded differently - possible changes in internal spec too.
