GM have just a 2009 special called the GT1 Edition which will have special C6R type graphics. It will be availble for all models (as long as you choose yellow or possibly black) seats get special stitching etc..... and I believe a certain Mr R Rogers from Dorset is currently camping outside his local dealer eagerly awaiting delivery.........

I wish GM would stop devaluing the Corvette brand with all these sticker special editions!

How about more performance/lighter weight/different seat options? Those are worth having, not yet another set of vinyl stickers...

That costs money they haven't got until 1st April, 2009. Hopefully.

Not sure - I didn't think the the Laguna '08 stripes looked that good.

The photo shopped Grand Sport colours on a C6 on some of the US sites look better

Surely it can't devalue the brand if you don't buy one?

What does buying one have to do with it?

It just smacks of penny-pinching desperation. It's not as if they launched it to celebrate a recent Le Mans win or anything.
You don't want to see your favourite brand of sports car desperately trying to grab headlines with something as feeble as yet another sticker kit (coming less than a couple of weeks after the "Track Package" stripe kit... rolleyes )

I'm sorry to tell you David that the yanks like it. Have a look at how many replicas of pace cars have been produced and they all get sold. Just because it's not to the taste of a British or European market, doesn't mean it isn't working somewhere else.

Indeed, have the right billboards or hockey sticks on your original Hemi Cuda and 40 years later those cheapo vinyl attachments just added $200,000 to your cars value. If only 4 cars in 2009 are supplied with these, then it's a "1 of 4" car you own. The yanks love all that statistics stuff.

You are dead right. Lets face it, baseball isn't a game but a collective of team and player stats!

Well, personally I quite like the design. It would be better if the stripes/motif was painted rather than stickered, but you know that's never going to happen. coffee

I am still struggling with the notion that a bunch of stickers and a sports zorst turns a standard Vette into a "GT1". Whilst it looks okay, it's a bit of a badge special with no GT1 go, turn and stop improvements.

IMO, GM should do far better to justify the GT1 moniker.
