Death of a Vette!.

Thats horrible, looking at your profile at least you have a car or two to keep you going but still grim so good luck getting it sorted.
I was on the M25 around there too, in the Volvo not the Maserati thank goodness as the standing water was ridiculous, got my first ever tug too as car showed no insurance but all was well...

I'm glad to hear your brother is o.k. They're strong old things. That would be a write off if it was an early C6 so that is most certainly over and out. Air bags are more often than not the final word on whether a vehicle is written off these days.
They would have wrote a C6 off with that damage???.I thought they would have given the ok for repaires if it was a C6?.BLUETHUNDER said:

At least there appears to be plenty of tread on the tyres. Insurance cos will wriggle out of claims where the tyres were worn past the legal limit.
I got to say, I'm very grateful for the electronic safety nets the C6s have. Not sure they could save an all-out aquaplane situation, but they certainly saved my a$$ a few times in these icy conditions.

Apparently that stretch of motorway is a known blackspot, and suffers badly after a downpour. He said that he tried to drive around the water, but the rear wheels caught, and that was that.It just spun, and there was nothing he could do.He is gutted as he just got the car back from Claremonts, after it was there for a day sorting a problem out that stemmed from last year.

OMG, that's awful, glad your brothers OK, looking at the damage and age of the 'vette I guess the Insurance company will write it off, (was it) an LT1 or L98?
It was an LT1.And it looks 99% certain its a write off.JakesterUK said:
