I've read on CF about a software update that was available for the touchscreen stereo with SatNav in the C6.

Apparently this cured some units that had trouble with poor reception and also allowed the CD player to play MP3 format discs. I can dig out the GM service bulletin number if needed, but is there anywhere in the UK that has the 2 discs from GM that are required to perform this update?

My FM reception is terrible on my unit and it'd be nice to play MP3 discs too.

Steve at Wavendon has the discs and I expect that Bauer Millett has them also.

Thanks for that. Have you got firther details of Wavendon as I'm not familiar with them. (I'm hoping they're closer that BM as I'm in Norfolk!)

Do they sell Euro nav discs? I can't find any mention of them on that website.

Aha! So Wavendon is just outside Milton Keynes? Bizarre that the Corvette-Europe site lists Birmingham, Nottingham and Cardiff as service centres but makes no mention of Wavendon (which seems to be the only Strats service centre left). I'd assumed that Wavendon was near Nottingham (since that's where my car was registered) - guess that's an F for my UK geography...

The cars are registered in Nottingham because after the early days of admin being based at Park Lane it was centralised in Pendragon HQ when the number of sites expanded.

I belive that Wavendon these days has official status as a Corvette service centre (bizarrely it was origianlly only ever authorised as the UK pdi centre). It takes up the spare units at an Evans Halshaw bodyshop.
Quite an impressive bodyshop - there must be space to work on about 40 or so cars at any one time.
